IOS 18.1 Users Can't Downgrade The System Because Apple Did This

JAKARTA All mobile phone users, including the iPhone, can downgrade or decrease the system as long as the lower version is still available. Unfortunately, this will not happen for users of iOS 18.1.

Apple has reportedly unsigned version of iOS 18.0.1. Unsigned is a term used when Apple has stopped signing software digitally. Simply put, the authority of this system has been revoked by the company.

Thus, iOS 18.1 users are no longer able to lower their software version to a lower version. This is the first time Apple has unsigned it. After releasing the latest iOS, Apple will stop supporting the previous version.

iOS 18.0.1 is the first software Apple released in the iOS 18 series. The next version, iOS 18.1, was released on October 31. In this update, some users may experience some problems due to bugs.

When bugs that interfere with device performance appear, users cannot downgrade because the lower version is no longer available. The only way to fix bugs is to wait for a repair patch from Apple.

To date, there have been no reports of serious bugs in iOS 18.1. A number of new features, including the first Apple Intelligence feature, are also running stably.

iOS 18.1 is software that focuses on Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based features. In this iOS version, Apple added several features such as Writing Tools, Resume, or Clean Up for Photo apps. Apart from adding to the AI feature, Apple is also fixing some security issues.

The company added improvements to Siri, who is vulnerable to attack by accessing sensitive user data, preventing leakage of search history from Safari's Personal Exploration, and much more.
