The Head Of OIKN Said Jokowi Wants To Often Go To IKN After The President's Retirement

JAKARTA - Head of the Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN) Basuki Hadimuljono said the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo wanted to visit the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) more frequently in East Kalimantan (Kaltim), after his retirement as Head of State.

"Yes, I'll see him later. But he really wants to go there more often," said Basuki when met at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Tuesday, November 5, was confiscated by Antara.

Basuki said that he last communicated with Joko Widodo two days ago and Jokowi did intend to visit IKN again.

Basuki Hadimuljono was inaugurated by President Prabowo Subianto as Head of OIKN at the State Palace in Jakarta, Tuesday.

Basuki in the cabinet era of President Joko Widodo was the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing as well as the Acting OIKN.

Regarding the task that Prabowo gave him, Basuki said President Prabowo had instructed him to carry out the IKN development.

Basuki emphasized that Prabowo asked IKN to be completed in the next 3-4 years.

He said that over the next four years, OIKN will build judiciary and legislative buildings including the basic infrastructure ecosystem, housing, offices, and ministries.

In addition, development also does not only focus on the Central Government Core Area (KIPP), because there are several investors who are interested in investing in the IKN II region.
