President Putin Says Kursk Region Will Be Freed From Ukrainian Troops
JAKARTA - Russian President Vladimir Putin believes the Kursk region will be completely released from the Ukrainian Armed Forces, saying that in the future volunteer work will be needed there.
"When we have released this region from the enemy, there will be a lot of work for you as well," President Putin said while speaking with military patriotic center activists Vympel from the Kursk region, quoted from TASS November 5.
President Putin added that victory could not be achieved without any volunteers supporting the fighters on the front lines.
Separately, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Ukraine's armed forces had lost more than 29,600 soldiers in Russia's Kursk territory since their initial attack on the border area.
"In total, during military operations in the Kursk area, the enemy lost more than 29,600 soldiers, 184 tanks, 106 infantry fighting vehicles, 107 armored personnel carriers, 1,078 armored combat vehicles, 808 cars, 259 artillery, 40 multiple launch rocket systems launchers, including 11 HIMARS and 6 MLRS," the ministry said.
Meanwhile, over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost more than 350 soldiers, four tanks, and four Bradley infantry fighting vehicles in the Russian Kursk region.
