JAKARTA - The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) welcomes efforts to re-implement National Exams or UN in all educational units in Indonesia.

Head of BRIN Education Research Center Badminton Fizzanty said National Exams are needed to find out the achievements of learning, as well as encourage students to be more active in learning.

In addition, he continued, a number of evidences from low learning awareness are also shown in the absence of standard assessments, lack of motivation, difficult quality control, portraits of learning achievements become biased/subjective, and difficulty in determining student admissions (PPDB/zonement systems) and universities.

Therefore, he agreed that later the National Examination could be held again.

"National recitation is a national standard measuring tool that is used as a benchmark for photographing the outcomes of students' individual learning," saideghi.

Previously, the Minister of Basic and Secondary Education (Mendikdasmen) during the Prabowo Subianto Government, Abdul Mu'ti, had discussed a National Examination to be held again.

However, his party will hear a lot of input from various relevant stakeholders and will be very careful in establishing a policy.

"So about National Exams, about zoning, especially those that are still being debated. Later we will see everything very carefully and we will be very careful," said Abdul Mu'ti.
