Cak Imin-Gus Ipul Meeting Together, Agree On One Single Data On Poverty Handling
Coordinating Minister (Menko) for Human Empowerment Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin held a meeting with the Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) Saifullah Yusuf alias Gus Ipul. The two ministers agreed to prepare one single data to tackle poverty.
Cak Imin said that this single data related to poverty will serve as a guideline for all Ministries and Institutions (K/L) in implementing poverty reduction programs.
"We have also succeeded in compiling concrete efforts in the near future so that there is one single data. The main data that will involve important stakeholders, single data on poverty, especially single data on the development of the quality of life of the community," said Cak Imin after a meeting with Gus Ipul at the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture Office, Jakarta, Thursday, October 31, was confiscated by Antara.
He explained that the single data in question is data on beneficiaries of social assistance, which will be used for poverty intervention and community empowerment.
The existence of this single data, he said, is expected to make a number of aid programs right on target, especially in empowering the poor to advance to class.
"We hope that from that data, those who receive social assistance will gradually advance to class, not continue to be the lowest recipients. That's why it's also called empowerment. We encourage all aspects of social assistance towards empowerment and humanity," said Cak Imin.

Cak Imin said the single data would later classify three criteria, namely extreme poor, poor, and vulnerable to poverty.
Of these three criteria, he continued, each beneficiary will be given different interventions. But all the estuaries are to eradicate the poor and take care of those who are vulnerable.
"We hope that there will be vertical mobility of all these beneficiaries so that the beneficiaries will really be empowered in the end," said Cak Imin.
