A total of 23 issuers won the CSA Awards for the Sector category on the Main Board and Development Papan. A total of 11 issuers won the CSA Awards for the category chosen by Analyst and 7 issuers won the CSA Awards in the innovation/special category.

Chairman of the CSA Awards 2024 Organizing Committee, Aria Samata Santoso, QWP, CSA, CTAD, CFTe, CDMP stated, this CSA Awards is a series of activities initiated and organized by analysts who are members of the Indonesian Stock Analyst Association (AAEI). And this is one of the AAEI work programs supported by the Indonesian Capital Market Professionals Association (Propami).

This CSA Awards activity consists of Unboxing Issuers (UE), Event Awards for the CSA Awards and closed with Market Outlook seminars to be held next November.

The committee from last July to November 2024 has invited issuers who are nominated to attend the Unboxing Issuer (EU) event. Namely the event in the form of talk shows in the form of podcasts that present issuers to convey their vision, mission and business development to the public, especially capital market investors. This program received a positive response from issuers, marked by the number of issuers participating.

"Until now, around 30 issuers have been and will be present as sources in the Unboxing Issuer which we broadcast on the CSA Awards-Official YouTube channel," said Aria. Thursday, October 31.

Aria added that the CSA AWARDS issuer award was very classy because it was judged by the Jury Team which has qualified capacity, capability and professionalism.

"A total of 5 senior professors led by Prof. Roy Sembel oversee this judging," he said.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Jury Prof. Ir. Roy HM Sembel, MBA., Ph.D., CSA, CI revealed, until mid-July, the number of issuers listed reached 934 issuers. Of that number, 121 issuer nominees were presented by the Committee to us to be assessed and appreciated according to the provisions and requirements of the assessment that we have set together.

Nominations are based on five general criteria, namely aspects of profitability in the future, aspects of openness to shareholders, aspects of good corporate governance (GCG), aspects of stock liquidity, aspects of risk management and aspects of Environmental Governance (ESG).

"We value these nominees based on the company's qualitative and quantitative performances as well as the favorite stocks of analysts," he said.

"From the number of nominees, based on the agreement of the 10 jury members and based on quantitative and qualitative performance and various breakthroughs made, we decided that 41 issuers were entitled and eligible to win the 2024 CSA Awards," explained Roy Sembel.

This year, the CSA Awards took the theme, namely Indonesia Capital Markets: Adapting and Evolving in Global Economic Changes. The jury considers this theme to be very relevant to the current global economic conditions. The global economic outlook, although in the short term it has increased, is still experiencing weakness in the long term.

Various negative risks that can hinder economic growth are likely to occur today and in the future. Among others, geopolitical tensions that are heating up today, misaligned trade fragmentation, interest rates that are expected to be higher in the long term and as well as the threat of climate disasters are a challenge in itself for the world economy and Indonesia in particular.

Our government has set a target for economic growth in 2025 of 5.2 percent, higher than 2024 which is only 5.1 percent. This growth will certainly rely on increasing domestic demand, consistent inflation control, the creation of new jobs and assistance and subsidies that can increase people's purchasing power.

This condition should be anticipated by economic actors, including issuers in the Indonesian capital market. So that the obstacles that will come in the future can be minimized, so that they can maintain the Company's performance properly.

Therefore, the jury also linked the assessment of the nominees by observing the challenges of future economic conditions and linking them to the CSA Awards theme this year, namely Indonesia Capital Markets : Adapting and Evolving in Global Economic Changes.

So that the assessment covers the whole, apart from industry, business and financial performance, business prospects, compliance with provisions including ESG, as well as the development and resilience of issuers in business and global conditions.

"So we give our appreciation not only to issuers who are bluechips and sectors that dominate the capital market, but those who grow and innovate we also give awards, such as, WEGE and several others," added Roy.
