Apple Introduces MacBook Pro M4, First Mac Without 8GB RAM

JAKARTA After introducing the latest iMac and Mac Mini, Apple is now launching the MacBook Pro with the latest lineup of chips, namely the M4, M4 Pro, and M4 Max. This device was officially released on Wednesday, October 30.

The MacBook Pro M4 is 14 inches in size and comes in black and silver. This is the first MacBook Pro to have 16GB lowest memory. In the previous generation, Apple still uses 8GB memory for the cheapest version.

The new device is also available in 16-inch size, but specifically for the M4 Max model. In this most expensive version, the MacBook Pro offers Thunderbolt 5 which supports advanced connectivity and faster data transfer. The M4 Pro model also has a Thunderbolt 5.

The standard M4 to Max model uses the Liquid Retina XDR screen. The brightness level is up to 1000 nits with the latest nano-texture screen options. This device is equipped with battery life which is claimed to last up to 24 hours.

"MacBook Pro is a very sophisticated device that millions of people use to do the best job of their lives, and today we make it even better," said Apple's Senior Vice President for Hardware Engineering, John Ternus.

Ternus added that this new device is specifically designed to operate Apple Intelligence. By combining advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based features and chipsets, Ternus believes the MacBook Pro can be the best professional laptop this year.

In addition to improving its performance, Apple is also trying to improve the quality of its camera. Using the Center Stage 12MP camera, this MacBook Pro M4 series can make the best video quality in challenging lighting conditions.

The Center Stage camera can keep users in the middle of the frame while making video calls. In addition, there is also Desk View support which, "Adds a new dimension to video calls."
