Pramono's Promise To Residents Of Tanah Merah: Extend The IMB Issued By Anies Era
JAKARTA - Candidate for Governor of Jakarta number 3 Pramono Anung promised to extend the issuance of a building permit (IMB) in the area in Tanah Merah, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta.
This was conveyed by Pramono after accommodating the aspirations of residents living around the Pertamina Plumpang Depot area.
"I will continue, the IMB (in Tanah Merah) has been extended, if necessary, it will be strengthened so that the right to life as a citizen in Jakarta is truly protected, especially for basic infrastructure," said Pramono in Tanah Merah, North Jakarta, Wednesday, October 30.
The problem with land disputes between the residents of Tanah Merah and PT Pertamina has been going on for decades and has gone through a court process. This issue also received the attention of the former Governor of DKI Jakarta.
While serving as Governor of Jakarta in 2013, Joko Widodo facilitated the rights of residents of Tanah Merah by giving ID cards and forming RT/RW.
Then, when Anies Baswedan led Jakarta, residents of Tanah Merah were given a temporary IMB area so that the DKI Provincial Government could provide access to basic needs such as clean water, drainage arrangement, and road repairs.
"That is what makes the community in Tanah Merah calmer, and for that I will strengthen what already exists. Because indeed for the people in Tanah Merah, there are two governor figures who are considered to have contributed positively," Pramono explained.

However, Pramono admitted that he could not promise the settlement of land disputes for the residents of Tanah Merah. Pramono could only confirm the IMB area which is valid from 2021 until it ends in 2024 to be extended again.
"Indeed, the problem here is not a problem that can be resolved in one day. The most important thing is that we don't open old wounds which eventually become an uneasy society," he said.
