KPK 5 Times Wins Against Suspect Alleged Corruption Acquisition Of PT Jembatan Nusantara By ASDP

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has again won a pretrial regarding the alleged corruption of business cooperation (KSU) and the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero). A total of five lawsuits have been filed by the suspect in this case.

"KPK has again won its fifth pretrial lawsuit," said KPK Spokesperson Team Budi Prasetyo to reporters in a written statement, Wednesday, October 30.

Budi said the lawsuit that had just been won was related to whether or not the confiscation was carried out by the KPK. The party that filed is the President Director of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) Ira Puspadewi; Harry MAC as the planning and development director; and Yusuf Hadi who is the commercial and service director.

The three names, based on the information obtained, have been named as suspects. They were charged with another person, namely Adjie as the owner of PT Jembatan Nusantara.

"In its decision, the Panel of Judges of the South District Court stated that the KPK leadership has the authority to sign an investigation warrant and a confiscation warrant, and the KPK has also legally confiscated the ASDP suspect," he said.

"We express our appreciation for the objectiveity of the judge's decision. This is proof of the test that the determination of the suspect and the confiscation carried out by the KPK in the ASDP case are in accordance with the formal legal principles," continued Budi.

Previously reported, the KPK is currently investigating cases of corruption in business cooperation (KSU) and the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero). It is suspected that there has been a state loss which allegedly reached Rp1.27 trillion and is still changing because the calculation continues.

A VOI source said this loss arose because the acquisition process for PT Jembatan Nusantara did not comply with the regulations. Reporting from a number of reports, PT ASDP purchased PT Jembatan Nusantara in February 2022 with a value of IDR 1.3 trillion.

This state-owned company then controlled 100 percent of PT Jembatan Nusantara shares with 53 ships under management. "The process (in carrying out business cooperation and acquisition, ed) has no legal basis," he said.

"So all acquisition rules are violated," is still quoted from the same source.

Currently, the anti-corruption commission has confiscated 15 land and building assets from the owner of PT Jembatan Nusantara, Adjie. The value reaches hundreds of billions of rupiah and is located in the Pondok Indah, Menteng, Bogor City, and Surabaya City areas.
