Wiranto Rises Rock Again, Calls 500 Electricity Rickshaws Distributed Throughout Indonesia
DENPASAR - A total of 500 electric rickshaws were distributed in stages throughout Indonesia, especially to the island of Bali.
Special Advisor to the President for Political and Security Affairs as well as the Board of Trustees of the Indonesian Electricity Rickshaw Association (PBLI), Wiranto, said hundreds of electric rickshaws had been distributed in stages.
While being dropped by only 500 throughout Indonesia, this will be evenly distributed, because this is also a tourism tool. Apparently, tourists are very happy to ride the rickshaw in a beautiful atmosphere on the island of Bali, in the rice fields, it turns out that foreign tourists are very happy," said Wiranto when inaugurating the PBLI office in Denpasar, Bali, Tuesday, October 29.
"Earlier, it was also recommended that pedicab drivers also wear traditional clothes and so on, there are also modifications to the roof using a typical Balinese umbrella," he added.
Bali Island gets 17 units of electric rickshaws that will operate in tourist attractions in Bali, one of which is in Jatiluwih Tourism Village in Penebel District, Tabanan Regency, Bali.
"And the President (Prabowo) also prioritizes humanitarian issues and is also pollution-free and so on. However, for Bali, this specific can have one of the positive impacts in developing tourism," he added.
Wiranto also said that hundreds of electric rickshaws were distributed gradually throughout Indonesia. According to him, President Prabowo Subianto will increase this number according to developments.
"If the progress turns out to be very positive, the president has promised that it will be increased gradually according to public revenue and the value of the benefits," he said.

He said that electric rickshaws remain a public transportation in Indonesia, but in Bali it is more specific for tourism mining in Bali.
"It's still common, but specifically in Bali it is more useful for tourism development. And it turns out that foreign tourists like this, the road is not too fast to enjoy the scenery, not afraid of accidents," he said.
He is also optimistic that the number of electric rickshaws in Bali will increase and foreign tourists and a number of traditional villages in the tourism area will respond positively to the presence of these electric rickshaws.
"Ini juga bisa memberikan sebuah lapangan kerja baru bagi teman-teman yang belum mendapatkan pekerjaan. Tapi terhadap yah, nggak ngayuh-ngayuh lagi," ujar Wiranto.
