Bali Police Raid Gay Prostitution Under Spa, Manager Arrested

Bali Police uncovered a prostitution case under the guise of a spa in Bali. This time the operation targeted spas that provide gay prostitution services or same-sex men.

The spa is located in Kerobokan Village, North Kuta, Badung Regency, Bali.

"Indeed, he peddles massage specifically for men and male therapists. It turns out that during the mass activity he carried out matters of same-sex prostitution activities," said Head of Public Relations of the Bali Police, Kombes Jansen Avitus Panjaitan, Tuesday, October 29.

During the spa raid, a spa manager was named a suspect and detained.

But Jansen admitted that he had not received detailed information about the identity of the suspect and also regarding the chronology.

Meanwhile, from the investigation, it is suspected that the spa has been operating for about a year.

"It is suspected that it will restart after COVID, around 2023 until now, so the calculation is approximately a year," he explained.

Meanwhile, this kind of male spa rate is suspected to be IDR 1.5 million.

"It's not limiting, basically guests who come are served. But generally yesterday there were many guests from foreigners, foreign tourists," he said.
