PPI Survey: Ridwan Kamil-Suswono Capai's Electability 47.8 Percent

JAKARTA - The results of the Indonesian Political Parameter survey show that the electability of the candidate pair (paslon) for governor and deputy governor in the 2024 DKI Jakarta Pilkada number one (1), Ridwan Kamil-Suswono (RIDO) is superior to the other pair of candidates with 47.8 percent.

Meanwhile, candidate pair number 3 Pramono Anung-Rano Karno received 38 percent electability, and candidate pair number 2 from the independent route, Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana's electability reached 4.3 percent.

"However, there are 9.9 percent of voters who hesitate to make their choice," said Executive Director of Indonesian Political Parameters, Adi Prayitno, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 29.

He explained that the electability rate of the three pairs of candidates could still change until voting day on November 27, 2024.

Based on the survey, Ridwan Kamil-Suswono's electability seemed to fall 5.6 percent compared to Ridwan Kamil's individual electability data which was relatively strong as a cagub, which was 53.4 percent.

Likewise, the electability of the Pramono Anung-Rano Karno pair, which also fell 14 percent compared to the significant individual electability of Rano Karno as cawagub, which was 52 percent.

"This shows that both figures, both Ridwan Kamil and Rano Karno, have the same problem, namely having a partner who has not been able to balance their strengths," said Adi.

Adi said that Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka's voters in the 2024 presidential election tend to be more dominant in choosing Ridwan Kamil-Suswono with a percentage of 61 percent.

The survey also photographed Anies Baswedan's voters in the 2024 presidential election the most dominant in making choices to Ridwan Kamil-Suswono with a figure of 44.5 percent.

Apart from that, only Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD voters were dominant in making choices to Pramono Anung-Rano Karno.

"The voters who claim to support Anies Baswedan and Prabowo Subianto tend to be closer to pair number 1 than pair number 2 and 3. Meanwhile, Ganjar supporters are closer to pair number 3," he said.

The survey was conducted on October 21-25, 2024, involving 1,200 respondents who had voted in Jakarta.

The survey used a multistage random sampling method with face-to-face interview data collection techniques, with the survey's confidence level reaching 95 percent in the margin of error of 2.8 percent.
