Pramono Anung Calls Promise To Create 500 Thousand Jobs For Citizens More Rational

JAKARTA - Candidate for Governor (cagub) Jakarta number 3, Pramono Anung promised to open 500 jobs for residents if he won the Jakarta gubernatorial election. Pramono promised the number of work absorption was only half of what was promised by his rival cagub, Ridwan Kamil.

Pramono emphasized that the plan to open 500 thousand jobs was more realistic for him. Because, based on research conducted by his team, currently there are around 354,000 unemployed residents, and 52 thousand who have just been laid off.

"So if it is added up to approximately 400 thousand. If we promise 500 thousand, it will be very rational," said Pramono at a community meeting in Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta, Tuesday, October 29.

Moreover, according to Pramono, the opening of 500 thousand jobs can still be facilitated by financing the Jakarta Regional Budget.

In addition, the former Cabinet Secretary also admitted that he would provide business capital to MSME players in Jakarta with a total of IDR 300 billion in one year.

This capital credit assistance is expected to be able to make MSMEs develop their business. Because, according to Pramono, MSMEs are one of the largest economic buffers for Jakarta.

"So, the technicality of the Rp. 300 billion is something that will be managed later, whether it can be directly through KUR or through Bank DKI," said Pramono.

"What is clear is that we also teach traders to be responsible for it. But my experience, during the pandemic yesterday, was PEN funds to help MSMEs," he added.

Meanwhile, in the second debate of the Jakarta gubernatorial election which was held on Sunday, October 27, cagub number 1 Ridwan Kamil promised to open 1 million jobs consisting of 600 thousand in the formal sector, 300 thousand in the MSME sector, and 100 thousand in the labor-intensive sector.

"For big economies, global cities, we present growth centers in a business. Then for MSMEs, for the middle class, we present a digital academy for 100,000 Gen Z, then free co-working space, housing above the market, above the station we also present it," said RK.
