Scientists: Soon Humans Could Make Contact With Aliens

JAKARTA - Scientists believe that if humans in the future will be able to meet aliens. It is even possible to establish contact with alien civilizations.

This was revealed by Michio Kaku, a physicist at the City Collger of New York, United States (USA) who believes that soon the other side of life in the universe will soon be discovered. The reason for his belief that aliens can be found is the increasingly sophisticated telescope technology.

"The chances are high enough that we can make contact with an alien civilization. We will soon have the Webb telescope in orbit and we will be able to observe thousands of planets," Kaku said as reported by Sputnik News on Wednesday, April 7.

On the other hand, Kaku also won't bet on the hypothesis that the aliens out there will be friendly, so we can make contact with the aliens. He exemplified it with the Spanish conquest when he discovered the Aztec empire in the 16th century.

"We all know what happened to Montezuma when she met Cortes in Mexico a few hundred years ago," he said.

That's the kind of thing Michio's worried about, considering the same thing could happen if humans were too naïve to contact aliens. For example, ascertaining whether they are peaceful or aggressive aliens, given technology and distance issues can be a major deterrent.

'Personally, I think they'll be friends but we can't gamble on that. So I think we do have to make contact but we have to do it very carefully," he explained.
