Pentagon: There Are No New Limits On Ukraine's Use Of US Weapons If North Korea Wars

JAKARTA - The Pentagon says Ukraine will not impose new restrictions on the use of US weapons against North Korean troops if they participate in the fight against Ukrainian forces.

The Pentagon estimates 10,000 North Korean troops have been deployed to eastern Russia for training.

Part of the army has moved closer to Ukraine, and we are increasingly concerned that Russia intends to use the army in combat or to support combat operations against Ukrainian troops at the Russian Kursk Oblast near the border with Ukraine, said Pentagon spokesman Sabrina Singh.

NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte previously said military units from North Korea had been deployed to the Kursk region in Russia, which Ukrainian forces seized in a shocking summer attack.

Singh refused to confirm the presence of North Korean troops in Kursk.

"Most likely they are moving towards Kursk. But I don't have more details yet," Singh said.
