Russia Continues To Strive To Defuse Tensions In The Middle East, Kremlin: Maintain Communication With Iran-Palestinian-Israeli
JAKARTA - Russia continues to relate to all warring parties in the Middle East and will do whatever it takes to defuse the situation, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
"Russia continues to be in contact with all warring parties. We are in contact with Tehran, Israel, and Palestine," he said, launching TASS October 28.
"Of course, Russia is doing everything possible to ask these parties to exercise restraint, as well as facilitate efforts to ease tensions. We will continue to do so," Peskov continued.
On that occasion Peskov emphasized that the situation in the Middle East region was still very tense.
"Of course it is very important to press for restraint," he exclaimed.
It is known that the situation in the Middle East, which has been heating up due to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in Gaza, is getting more and more tense with the increase in the escalation of Israel-Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.
Most recently, Israel launched airstrikes against Iran by attacking a number of targets on October 26.
