Accompanied By Bobby Nasution, The National Army Commander Observes Drive-Thru Vaccinations In Medan

MEDAN - The National Army (TNI) Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto appreciated the implementation of the mass drive thru COVID-19 vaccination in Soewondo, Medan, North Sumatra.

"I saw and witnessed this vaccination, with the Drive-Thru system. I saw it through application registration until the vaccination execution went well", said the TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, Wednesday, April 7.

Hadi revealed that the drive-thru mass vaccination service is considered to be a role model for other regions in Indonesia.

This vaccination has a good concept and is able to make the mass vaccination currently being carried out by the Government of Indonesia is successful.

"I received information that there are several regions that have implemented the Drive-thru model. We hope that the strategy to achieve national vaccination is achieved. The drive-thru can actually be realized", said Hadi.

To the public, the TNI Commander advised them to adhere to health protocols. Even though vaccines have been carried out, they are required to still wear masks in their daily activities.

"I advise the public that we must keep using masks, the main weapon to prevent exposure to COVID-19. We still use masks even though we have been vaccinated. I want to convey that", continued Hadi.

Hadi reviewed the mass vaccinations in Medan with National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, North Sumatra Governor Edy Rahyamadi and Medan Mayor Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution.

Meanwhile, the National Police Chief said the Drive-Thru COVID-19 vaccination program was able to serve 1.000 people per day. According to the Chief of Police, this is an innovation in accelerating the implementation of mass vaccination.

"We and the Commander in Chief have been traveling with regard to direct observation of the vaccination program. Mainly, mass vaccination. From the several strategies implemented, we give appreciation to the mass vaccination community", said General Listyo Sigit.

The National Police Chief also had a chance to talk with the people who will carry out the vaccination. The so called services are well provided, professional and fast.

"Regarding the implementation of the drive-thru, we will ask directly. When do people register, the average is last night or the day before. Now it can be served well", he said.

With this mass vaccination service, the National Police Chief hopes that Medan City residents will have good immunity and be able to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

"With registrant speed, 1.000 (people) can be served. Adding the location points, now there are 6 locations. I am sure that the mass vaccination program, to establish the immunity of Medan City and Medan in general, can be implemented. Even though they have implemented vaccines, they still use masks, 3M, and 3T", said the Chief of Police.
