Conveyor Belt Sushi Throughout 135 Meters Will Be Present At Osaka Expo 2025
JAKARTA - The operator of the sushi restaurant chain, Kura Sushi Inc., will offer 148 dishes and culinary delights from other countries on 135 meter long conveyor belts at the 2025 World Expo Osaka location, Japan.
According to the company, the walking tire will be the longest in the company, surpassing a 123-meter-long walking tire in its global main store in the Ginza district, Tokyo.
In comparison, walking tires aterate restaurants usually only have a length of about 90 meters.
"(The spinning sun) is everywhere in Japan, but many people in the world still don't know it. I want them to feel the excitement of34-go-round," said Hiroyuki Okamoto, head of Kura Sushi's communications department, at a press conference in Osaka last month, reported by Kyodo News October 24.
The company is also developing a special menu for visitors from around the world who will take part in the World Exposition exhibition, which is scheduled to take place from April 13 to October 13 next year in Yumeshima, an artificial island in Osaka Bay.
In line with the exhibition push for sustainability, the headquarteredfocuser of thefonot network in Sakai, Osaka Prefecture, will reuse about 336,000 bloodshell shells to be removed to build the new restaurant's outer wall.
Conveyor belts atfoy restaurants are said to have started to be popular at the World Expo 1970 event held in Osaka Prefecture.
