Ridwan Kamil-Suswono Cheated By Chinese Community: Asks For Arts Events To Glodok Infrastructure

JAKARTA - The candidate pair for governor and deputy governor of Jakara, Ridwan Kamil-Suswono, has been criticized by the Chinese Community and the Indonesian Daily. Problems conveyed ranging from art events to infrastructure that are not good.

Ridwan Kamil-Suswono's meeting with Chinese figures took place in the Glodok area, West Jakarta, Wednesday, October 23.

"The chaos of the figures here, one, wants opera for the arts. It turns out that there is not yet. Second, there is a business area where the infrastructure is still not good," said Ridwan Kamil.

In addition, Ridwan Kamil-Suswono also received complaints about the high price of land or rental in the Glodok area, West Jakarta. So that the children and grandchildren of the Chinese Community must move to the outskirts of Jakarta.

Responding to the theft, Ridwan Kamil said that he would revitalize the Glodok area, especially related to residential areas.

If elected as Governor of Jakarta, Ridwan Kamil will unite Glodok's business and economic centers with settlements. "If there are market lands, don't take the floor, at least it's higher. At least higher, there should be apartments, yes, the land is expensive, right. So it's under trade, on top of housing," he said.

In addition, Ridwan Kamil also promised to increase housing for the community during his tenure. So, the younger generation can realize their dream of owning a private home.

"So in 5 years of supply for housing for the Gen Z millennial generation, we can present it so that their dream of living in Jakarta is possible," said Ridwan Kamil.
