Before Prabowo Inaugurated, PAN Already Knows Putri Zulhas Will Be Withdrawn To The Cabinet
JAKARTA - Member of the DKI Jakarta DPRD from the PAN faction, Zita Anjani, resigned from her position because she was appointed as Special Envoy for the President for Tourism by President Prabowo Subianto.
Chairman of the PAN faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Husen, said that Zita's resignation letter was made on October 14, 2024, or six days before Prabowo was sworn in as the 8th President. Husen admitted that his party at that time already knew that the daughter of PAN General Chair Zulkifli Hasan would be drawn into Prabowo's cabinet.
"Indeed, we already know that he (Zita) will definitely go there (enter the cabinet), if not the deputy minister), then the others. Therefore, long ago, on October 14, he had already made a letter of resignation," said Husen at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Wednesday, October 23.
As a member of the DPRD, Zita cannot hold concurrent positions if she wants to carry out her position as the Presidential Special Envoy. This is stated in Law Number 17 of 2014 concerning the MPR, DPR, DPD, and DPRD.
In Article 350 paragraph (1), provincial DPRD members are prohibited from holding concurrent positions as state officials or regional officials, judges in judicial bodies, civil servants, members and the National Police, BUMN and BUMD employees, or other agencies whose budgets come from the APBN/APBD.
Currently, the Regional Representative Council (DPW) of PAN DKI Jakarta is processing the interim replacement (PAW) of candidates for DKI DPRD members to replace Zita in the future.
Based on the results of the vote acquisition for the 2024 Legislative Election (Pileg) of the DKI DPRD in the electoral district (dapil) of DKI Jakarta 2, the PAN candidate with the second largest number of votes after Zita is Ismail.
"It is certain that the one who replaces, according to the Election Law, the second largest vote is under Mrs. Zita, Mr. Ismail. I have signed the letter to be processed to the Chairman of the DPRD and Sekwan. Then, now Mr. Ismail is still taking care of administrative completeness," explained Husen.
President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated seven figures as Presidential Special Envoys, at the State Palace, Jakarta, on Tuesday, October 22.
The inauguration was based on Presidential Decree Number 76/M of 2024 concerning the Appointment of the Presidential Special Envoy for the Republic of Indonesia in 2024-2029, which was set in Jakarta 21 October 2024 by President Prabowo Subianto.
