Brian May Says Johnshift Still Has A Role In Queen
JAKARTA - Queen realized the dream of many musicians to continue to music until old age. The remaining two personnel, Brian May and Roger Taylor, are still able to crash the stage with classy and memorable songs.
Even though it's only the two of them now, Brian revealed that there is still a role from former Queen member John forced. John is the bassist who has been a long part of the London band's musical journey.
They are also still in good communication with John. Until now, the former bassist Queen has a voice to consider in the decisions made by Queen.
"We received a message that he was happy with what we did, but he didn't want to stress because he was involved in creative things, and we appreciate that. Unfortunately, we can't talk to Freddie," Brian May told Mojo Magazine, quoted from Blabbermouth, October 22.
During Freddie's lifetime, Queen was at a high point in their careers. Years of working together, growing mutual respect, even May compared it to marriage.
"However, the four of us worked as a team for so long that Roger [Taylor, drummerQUEN] and I have a pretty clear picture of what fellow QUEEN members will say. This takes longer than anyone's marriage," he added.
Representing the group, Brian May understands John forced to feel calmer in his old age. He called various creative processes and concepts a stress trigger that John tried to avoid.
John Deacao himself was involved in the writing of several Queen hits. Some of them are Another One Bites the Dust and You're My Best Friend. He left Queen and music in general in 1997, six years after Freddie Mercury's death.
