A Man In Kediri Sold His Wife For IDR 1 Million On Facebook
JAKARTA - The Kediri Resort Police (Polres), East Java, handles a case of sale or trafficking in persons committed by a man to his own wife.
"This is the TKP (scene of the case) in one of the inns in Gampengrejo Subdistrict, Kediri Regency. The suspect sold his wife to someone. The perpetrator offers prostitution services through the Facebook social network", said Kediri Police Chief Lukman Cahyono, reported by Antara, in Kediri, Tuesday, April 6.
He said the suspect with the initials AN (42), a resident of Singkalanyar Village, Prambon District, Nganjuk Regency. The person concerned also lives in Banjarmlati Village, Mojoroto District, Kediri City.
The mode offered by the perpetrator was he posted and offered his wife on Facebook to have sex together by paying. The police who knew about the incident immediately conducted an investigation and found the perpetrator in a hotel room in Gampengrejo District, Kediri Regency.

When doing his crime, the husband was also in the room. The person is waiting in the bathroom, while the other man and his wife were in the same room. They were immediately taken by the police for further investigation.
The perpetrator, he said, had already carried out the crime five times, with the same mode. Currently, the police are still developing the case.
"After we arrested and examined him, about five times he sold his wife to other people to serve prostitution. This suspect is married to his wife since September 11, 2004", he said.
Meanwhile, from the location of the raid in the room, the police also found a number of pieces of evidence, namely IDR 1 million in cash, cellphones, copies of marriage certificates, and used contraceptives. All evidence was secured by officers.
Due to his involvement in a prostitution case, the police will charge him with Article 296 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) with a maximum sentence of one year and four months or a maximum fine of IDR 15 thousand and Article 506 with three months imprisonment.
The perpetrator admitted that he was in desperate need, so he was determined to take action. He asked for a fee of IDR 1 million for the services offered.
