Riau Islands Police Complete Case Files For 12 Ex-Satresnaba Barelang Police Suspects Of Drug Evidence

Head of Public Relations of the Riau Islands Police, Kombes Zahwani Pandra Arsyad, said investigators were completing the case files of 12 former members of the Narcotics Unit of the Barelang Police who were named suspects for alleged processing of drug evidence.

"The first phase of the file has been sent to the prosecutor, returned again to be repaired and completed according to the prosecutor's instructions," said Pandra in Batam as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 22.

Separately, the Head of the Legal Information Section (Kasipenkum) of the Riau Islands High Prosecutor's Office, Yusnar Yusuf, said that currently the research prosecutor team was preparing instructions for the lack of files transferred by the Riau Islands Police investigators.

"The case file is incomplete, both formally and materially, the research prosecutor team is currently compiling instructions for the lack of files," he said.

According to him, the files are still with the investigating prosecutors who have not been submitted to the investigators. The plan is that this week it will be returned to investigators according to the rules of the Criminal Procedure Code 14 work since the submission of the phase I file on Thursday (10/10).

However, he continued, the research prosecutor had coordinated and communicated with the Riau Islands Police investigators to accelerate the fulfillment of the file shortage.

"Coordination results to accelerate investigators to meet the file shortage," he said.

The twelve suspect case files, namely the initials AC, SI, AR, SA, FA, JS, AM, IM, ZK, WR, JU and RA.

Former Kasatresnarkoba Polresta Barelang Kompol SN and its 9 members were processed ethically and criminally in connection with ethical violations and criminal acts of setting aside 1 kg of methamphetamine evidence.

The ten members of the National Police have been sentenced to dishonorable dismissal (PTDH) by the KKEP of the Riau Islands Police and are in the process of being appealed.

Meanwhile, 5 former members of the Narcotics Unit of the Barelang Police from unit 2 who are suspected of being involved in selling evidence weighing 5 kg in Riau, were also processed for ethics and crime.
