Terawan Returns To Cabinet, Becomes The President's Advisor For Health Admits He Is Ready To Learn

JAKARTA - Lieutenant General TNI (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Dr. Dr. Dr. Terawan Agus Putranto, Sp.Rad (K) was officially inaugurated by President Prabowo Subianto as Special Advisor to the President for National Health and admitted that he was ready to learn to carry out his duties in order to provide the best advice for the president.

He said, with his professional background as a retired TNI soldier, learning something quickly and adaptively is something he usually does.

"Even though I am retired, I am always ready to carry out the tasks that are ordered, at any time, anywhere I will be ready to carry out. Regarding the details, I will always study my duties and responsibilities," said Terawan in the Presidential Palace area, Jakarta, Tuesday, October 22, quoted by Antara.

Terawan said that later as a Special Advisor to the President for National Health, he would provide objective inputs.

He hopes that the suggestions submitted to the President will be able to advance the health sector in Indonesia and can benefit the community.

"I will give it with full honesty with full objectiveity and hopefully useful for the nation and state," said Terawan.

The inauguration of Terawan Agus Putranto as the Presidential Special Advisor for National Health was carried out by President Prabowo Subianto based on Presidential Decree number 140P of 2024 concerning the Appointment of Presidential Special Advisors.

In the health sector, Terawan is known as one of the influential figures both at the national and international levels because he has served as Chairman of the Association of Indonesian Radiology Specialists to the Chairperson of the ASEAN Association of Radiology.

The public also knew the figure of Terawan as Minister of Health during 2019-2020 in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet led by the 7th President Joko Widodo, his position was later replaced by Budi Gunadi Sadikin.

Terawan is also familiarly known as a military doctor who once served as Head of the Gatot Subroto Army Central Hospital and also Head of the Presidential Team of Doctors.
