Clubhouse Users Can Make Money Easily, Here's How

JAKARTA - Finally, the Clubhouse application applies the monetization feature for content creators on its platform. That means, content creators will be able to make money from Clubhouse.

The platform development company openly will not take a dime from the payment feature. The money that the content creators get will go one hundred percent into the creator's own pocket.

The payment feature in the audio-based application can be used this week. Before that happens, Clubhouse will test the payment feature in small groups. Only then will the company launch it for global Clubhouse users.

When the Clubhouse payment feature has been activated by the user, the user only needs to press the "Send Money" option. Money will also be sent directly to the content creator.

In making this payment feature available, Clubhouse is partnering with a payment service called Stripe which will take a small fee for processing small cards as reported by The Verge, Tuesday, April 5.

The Clubhouse application gained popularity after influential people, one of whom was Elon Musk, also participated in events held through the application. The room in the application exploded so that the company was forced to move it to the YouTube channel.

Unlike other applications, Clubhouse users will not find ad impressions in the application. In addition, users can also download it for free on the App Store.

In fact, this payment method is more like a ticket-buying mechanism to attend an event hosted by a content creator. This method is used by Clubhouse boss Paul Davison to implement monetization on its platform.

“There are great people who are smart, funny, experts in their fields, great at bringing people together. And what we want is to let them live from the Clubhouse with subscriptions and event tickets or get tips from listeners who like to pay directly for experiences created (by content creators)", Davison said on an occasion.
