As Presidential Special Advisor, Dudung Focuses On Monitoring The TNI Peace Forces In Lebanon

JAKARTA - Special Advisor to the President for National Defense and Chairman of the Defense Industry Policy Committee (KKIP) General TNI (Ret.) Dudung Abdurachman explained the tasks he carried out after being inaugurated by President Prabowo Subianto.

"Of course, this defense is not necessarily related to defense equipment. Usually defense is defense, ideological, political, economic, social, cultural, defense and security issues," Dudung said, starting his explanation at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday, October 22, which was confiscated by Antara.

He said President Prabowo had so many other jobs that he as a Special Advisor to the President and the Chair of the KKIP would provide input to the president about the development of the situation, including other elements of interest, such as the Ministry of Defense and other agencies, about the evolving situation, both outside and within the country.

Dudung conveyed several points of defense issues that he wanted to work on, including developments in the situation in Lebanon, including other countries where the TNI troops were involved as peacekeepers.

He will also prioritize the issue of defense in Papua.

Regarding the defense industry, Dudung as the Chair of the KKIP received a special message from President Prabowo to check the condition of defense equipment in the country and the existence of national defense industries to anticipate the possibilities that occur.

His party will coordinate with the Ministry of Defense and also the TNI.

"How do the existing defense industries, such as those that have been under SOEs, we will see later, we will check, we will audit forensics, we will see in its entirety, including units, whether it is still feasible or not feasible, for example the weapons we have," he said.
