IPhone 4 Dumamy Unit Allegedly Featuring IPhone 14 Design With 'Plus' Size Options
JAKARTA - Several images of the iPhone SE 4 dummy unit were recently shared by Japan's Apple blog Macokara, which shows a similar shape to the iPhone 14, as previously thought. The blog also highlights the compatibility with the existing iPhone 14 casings and hints at the possibility of a larger size option although this possibility is small to materialize.
Macoktara regularly shares the dumpmy unit from the upcoming iPhone model, which often gives an idea of what the iPhone might expect from the upcoming iPhone. This time, the mockup is in line with almost all previous rumors.
The dumpmy unit has one rear camera, a mute switch than an axion button, and a smaller notch with Face ID at the top. The dimension of the dummy unit is 146.7mm x 71.5mm x 7.8mm, which is identical to the existing iPhone 14.
According to the blog, the soft TPU casing for the iPhone 14 fits well, although the cut for the camera seems exaggerated, as the iPhone 14 has a dual camera setting, while the upcoming iPhone SE 4 only has one camera.
They also note that the mute switch appears to be slightly smaller than the iPhone 14, although the volume button and side button are almost the same.
According to the blog, there is a possibility of a larger size option, the same size as the iPhone 14 Plus (which is mistakenly referred to as 6.5 inches, whereas it is actually 6.7 inches). However, there were no previous reports of a larger size option for the upcoming iPhone SE 4. Although this is an interesting and long-awaited step, it is likely that it will not happen.
Macotara claims that the 'design and final size' have not been decided in a precise manner, and there is a likelihood' that there will only be one measure. In general, new Apple products that are never rumored to appear at such a close development stage, and if there is indeed a larger iPhone SE 4, it is highly unlikely that we will know for the first time at this time.
In other words, it is highly unlikely that there will be a larger iPhone SE 4 at the time of launch in the coming spring, although there is a rare possibility of the device being launched long after smaller models.
Despite whether there will be a larger size option or not, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to launch next spring with a 6.1-inch OLED display, an A18 chip with support for Apple Intelligence, and a single rear camera system that uses the same 48MP sensor as the iPhone 15. The device is also expected to be Apple's first 5G modem debut.
