Kudus Police Reveals 9 Gambling Cases With 20 Perpetrators In 10 Months

JATENG - Kudus Resort Police (Polres) in Central Java, (Central Java) revealed nine gambling cases and arrested 20 perpetrators throughout January-October 2024.

"The latest case that was revealed was the lottery gambling case in Jati Wetan Village, Jati District, Kudus Regency, October 3, 2024," he said.

He said the suspect who was arrested, namely the initials ES (53), a resident of Jati Wetan Village.

The gambling case that was also revealed, namely dice gambling in Singocandi Village, Kudus City District. The dice gambling actor with the initials US, the perpetrator admitted that dice gambling was indeed an income because he only helped his wife sell and did not have a permanent job.

"Funts also vary according to the amount at stake. When winning the most, it can reach Rp. 3 million," he said.

Ronni also hopes that community support in eradicating gambling is still being found because the Kudus Police have repeatedly uncovered the case.

He said patrol activities from the ranks of the Kudus Police were also routinely carried out to suppress gambling cases in Kudus City.

According to him, the gambling actors who were caught could be charged with Article 303 of the Criminal Code concerning gambling, with a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.
