Citroen Releases C4 And C4 X Updates At Paris Motor Show, Sent To Customers Early Next Year

JAKARTA - Citroen displayed an update on the fastback and C4 X C4 models at the Paris Motor Show 2024 exhibition. Both are refreshing from various aspects, from their outer appearance to the revised powertrain.

Citroen C4 is an SUV-style model that adopts a design that is more sloping. Meanwhile, C4 X has a saloon style but with a larger dimension like an SUV.

Launching from Autocar, Tuesday, October 15, the design on C4 refers to the 'OLI Concept' which was exhibited in 2022 as well as the design language for the future Citroen model.

The latest C4 and C4 X differences with previous models lie in the slimmer and sharper LED headlights, leaving a futuristic impression but without ruling out urban styles.

The front bumper is now equipped with a modern towering grip on top with a selip plate inspired by the SUV. The front is stretched with structure so that it leaves behind a more expressive character.

On the side, both of them have the latest 18-inch Amber rim with a more precise finishing of bi-material diamonds. So this plays a role in improving aerodynamics while increasing the aesthetics of the car.

Side protectors have been redesigned to provide a more fluid look. The sleek design helps lengthen the car's silhouette visually, thus providing a more dynamic look.

Moving to the interior, both are equipped with a 7-inch high-definition cluster instrument positioned behind the steering wheel. This is accompanied by a more modern 10-inch touchscreen interface screen.

In order to make it easier for customers, C4 and C4 X are offered with ChatGPT technology developed by OpenAI. This is integrated with the infotainment system thanks to SoundHound speech recognition technology.

Both are now equipped with 20 advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features, including Active Safety Brake, Collision Risk Alert, Highway Driver Assist, and Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go.

Both C4 and C4 X have the latest 1.2 liter millid-hybrid engine coupled to a six-acceleration dual-clutch transmission system so they can pump up 134 dk of power. Meanwhile, a pure 1.2 liter gasoline engine with eight automatic acceleration transmissions is also presented.

Purely electric versions, namely the latest e-C4 and e-C4 X, are offered in two versions. First, it is with a 54 kWh battery that gives a cruising range of 415 km (e-C4) and 425 km (e-C4 X).

The second version is with a smaller battery, which is 50 kWh in size. This is able to provide a cruising range of 355 km for e-C4 and 360 km for e-C4 X.

It is estimated that this latest model will be delivered to customers in Europe early next year at a price to be announced approaching launch to customers.
