Google Facilitates Data Protection If Phones Are Stolen With New Anti-Stealing Features
JAKARTA - Google is reportedly releasing feature updates to several Android phones by adding anti-stealing functions such as Theft Detection Lock, Offline Device Lock, and Remote Lock.
While Remote Lock was already available to many Android users, Theft Detection Lock and Offline Device Lock are new features announced last May and designed to improve data security.
Theft Detection Lock is the most advanced feature among all. This feature uses AI and cell phone sensors to detect common movements related to theft.
For example, if someone pulled the phone from your hand and started running, or if the movement was detected using a bicycle or car. The phone will be automatically locked and block access to all your apps and data.

Meanwhile, Offline Device Lock will lock the device when the thief tries to keep the phone off the network for a long time.
Remote Lock allows you to lock your phone remotely using just a phone number, if the Find My Device feature is turned off or you can't log into your Google account to do it yourself.
Until now, it is not clear which phones have received this new feature update. However, you can check if Google Play Services on your phone is in the latest version to get these features.
