Apple Prepares Smart Glasses And AirPods With Cameras, Release Maybe 2027
JAKARTA Apple is reportedly preparing new visual-based products, including smart glasses and AirPods with cameras, which are likely to be launched in 2027.
According to a report from Bloomberg through Mark Gurman, this step is Apple's attempt to maximize their large investment in visual intelligence technology that was first introduced through the Apple Vision Pro.
These Apple smart glasses will not be a full AR device with a screen, but rather a smart glasses that have cameras, speakers, and microphones, similar to those of Meta and Ray-Ban collaboration glasses that have been popular on the market. Meta currently offers these glasses at prices ranging from $299, with a more expensive choice of frames.

In addition, Apple is also still considering launching AirPods with cameras, although the reasons behind the camera usage on AirPods are not clear yet. This idea has previously been reported, but still raises questions about its usefulness, especially as smart glasses appear more suitable for visual features.
Despite this, Apple continues to experiment with products that combine visual intelligence in various forms of devices.
Both of these products are not expected to be released until at least 2027, with possible further developments of Apple's visual technology in the future.
