Malaysia Asks Principals And Teachers To Ensure Students Understand The AI Concept At Least

JAKARTA - Malaysian Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Saifuddin Nasution Ismail emphasized the importance of the participation of school principals and teachers in ensuring their students at least understand the concept of artificial intelligence or AI.

This was said by Saifuddin at an event at the Aminuddin Baki Institute (IAB) North Branch of the Ministry of Education and Education of Malaysia.

If we don't adapt and fail to master this important scientific branch, we risk being left behind. This issue is very relevant; education leaders and administrators must ensure that their students understand AI, because it is an integral aspect of contemporary reality," he said, quoted by Bernama, Sunday, October 13.

Saifuddin said the current economic landscape had changed dramatically.

The world has changed; trade is no longer dominated by traditional commodities such as tin, rubber, palm oil, or oil and gas. In this new paradigm, data has emerged as a new 'oil', which represents an important source of economic value," he said.

Meanwhile, Director of IAB Ab. Aziz Mamat highlighted the importance of the topic being discussed emphasizing its relevance to the role and responsibility of education leaders in their respective organizations.

Leaders in educational institutions play an important role in ensuring that individual dignity and humanity remain the center of their mission. This focus is important to foster a generation of morals straight, loving, confident, and innovative, "he said.
