More Sports Lovers, Decathlon Opens The Latest Outlet In Aeon Deltamas Cikarang

JAKARTA - The name of sports equipment from France, Decathlon, has officially expanded in Indonesia to explore wider lovers. With the retail concept, Decathlon is officially present at Aeon Deltamas, Cikarang, as of Saturday, October 12, 2024.

Being the ninth shop to be present in the country, Decathlon in Aeon Deltamas is packed with a different concept.

It comes with a more compact look, but still maintains an open design without physical boundaries between malls and shops.

Even though it comes with the concept of compact, Decathlon Deltamas still prioritizes interactive functions by presenting a trial zone for each category of sports equipment, such as football, basketball, rollerblading, badminton, and others.

In addition, Decathlon is also here to engage with various sports communities, including runners, cyclists, inline skate players, and golfers, all of whom are active in the Aeon Deltamas area.

Choosing the Aeon mall Deltamas is a strategic step for Decathlon. Locations in the area are growing rapidly and will experience significant residential and industrial growth in the next five to 10 years. This makes it the ideal place for Decathlon's retail expansion.

Julien Gaudemard, Jabodetabek Marketing Leader, said that Decathlon's commitment to sustainability continues with the opening of this store.

This strengthens the local-to-local production strategy in Indonesia with products such as backpacks, t-shirts, shoes, shorts, and locally produced gloves.

In addition to the new store concept, Decathlon Indonesia has also worked hard to make sports more accessible by lowering prices in all levels of its products.

"Since the beginning of the year, we have lowered the price by more than 15 percent of our products. This step is part of our ongoing commitment to providing high-quality sports equipment that is more accessible and affordable to everyone despite the challenges of increasing additional costs and taxes," said Henry Pfisterer, CMO Decathlon Indonesia when attending the opening of the shop on Saturday, October 12, 2024.

Decathlon Indonesia CEO, Sujita Barah, also reaffirmed his commitment to making sport accessible to everyone, who made this new store a good step for the name Decathlon in Indonesia.

"This store is not just a new location, this is a symbol of Decathlon's commitment to advancing Indonesia through sports."

"We are excited for the future. We are here to make sports accessible, affordable, and fun for all," said Sujita Baruah, CEO of Decathlon Indonesia.
