England National Team Experiment Fails, Lee Carsley Installs Body

JAKARTA - The England national team lost their first defeat in the 2024/2025 UEFA Nations League. They lost 1-2 to Greece in the third match at Wembley Stadium on Friday, October 11, 2024, early morning WIB.

Vangelis Pavlidis' brace made the Three Lions fail to top the Group B2 standings, League B. England are now packing six points, under Greece who have won nine points, aka perfect from three matches.

The defeat was allegedly due to an experiment conducted by England's interim coach, Lee Carsley.

Harry Kane's absence prompted Carsley to install Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden as spearheads.

The 50-year-old coach considered that his experiment was based on his second goal instincts when playing at their respective clubs.

However, in fact the experiment failed. Carsley was ready to put on.

"A challenging night for us and we lost narrowly. It's disappointing. We were experimenting and the results were unsatisfactory."

"You have to have the courage to try things. However, I am happy to be blamed for this because it was my idea," said Carsley.

Carsley is now trying to improve to return to winning ways. Nearby, they will visit Finland headquarters on October 13, 2024.

England also have two more games left this year after fighting Finalandia, which is to travel to Greece's home (15 November) and host the Republic of Ireland (18 November).

The coach could at least reconsider the effectiveness of his experiment. You see, Carsley is actually equipped with a row of other strikers.

If later there is still without Harry Kane, he still has Dominic Solanke, Anthony Gordon, total Watkins, or Noni Madueke.
