Genocide Protests In Gaza, Nicaragua Join Diplomatic Relations With Israel

JAKARTA - Nicaragua cut diplomatic ties with Israel due to the war in Gaza. To date, 42,126 people have been killed in the Gaza Strip due to Israel's war on Hamas.

The announcement of Nicaragua's Vice President, Rosario Murillo, comes after a statement made by Nicaragua's Foreign Minister Valdrack Ludwing Jaentschkeek in a speech at the UN General Assembly at the end of September.

This condemns and condemns the genocide committed by the Israeli government and allies across the Middle East.

In January, the government of Nicaragua submitted a request to the International Court (ICJ) to participate in a genocide lawsuit filed by South Africa against Israel in December last year.

Israel rejects allegations of genocide, arguing that the war against Hamas in Gaza was carried out to defend itself. Israel also stated they were not fighting the Palestinian people.

Israel has confirmed its leaders have shown no intention of committing genocide.
