Gibran Concerning Peparnas: Over All Is Better Than PON
SOLO - Vice President-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka said that the implementation of the XVII Solo 2024 National Paralympic Week (Peparnas) was better than the XXI Aceh-Sumut National Sports Week (PON).
"Over is all better than PON," he said on the sidelines of a review of the Badminton venue in Solo, Central Java, reported by ANTARA, Friday, October 11.
Gibran appreciated the smooth operation of accommodation, distribution of consumption, and the implementation of matches during Peparnas this time.
"I think it's a success. I just arrived, so far, if we monitor it from afar, from accommodation, consumption, the implementation of matches, and so on, everything went smoothly. This is the second time, yes, in the past, the ASEAN Para Games (2022), both were both successful," he said.
Gibran also confirmed that he would come directly at the closing of Peparnas at Manahan Stadium, Sunday (13/10) night.
"I'm waiting for closing. Weekend, I really want to watch the game," he said.

Asked about the certainty of President Joko Widodo's arrival at the close of Peparnas, Gibran said he could not provide confirmation.
"I'll see first. Not me, I'm nobody, just watching, but God willing, I'll be there. Sunday night, yes," he said.
Meanwhile, related to the facilities provided by the disability athlete group, Gibran said, it became the government's special concern.
"Earlier, we discussed the chairman of the NPC. We have built a training center in Delingan (Ganganyar Regency). God willing, we will continue in the future," he said.
