Jokowi Hands Over The Inauguration Of The Garuda Palace To Prabowo

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) handed over the agenda of inaugurating the Garuda Capital Nusantara Palace (IKN) facility, East Kalimantan, to the elected president Prabowo Subianto.

"For the Garuda Palace, it will be inaugurated by the new President, Mr. Prabowo Subianto," said President Jokowi as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, October 11.

Previously, in his speech on the agenda for the inauguration of the State Palace of IKN, Jokowi said the reason for the handover was because the Garuda Palace building was still in the final stage.

"Because the Garuda Palace is currently still in the process of being defined and it is possible that it will still take the next 1 month, so today I will inaugurate the State Palace first," he said.

The Head of State said the government did not want to rush to complete all ecosystem supporting infrastructure in IKN.

Because, according to Jokowi, the most important thing is development activities that run according to the predetermined target time.

Jokowi also hopes that the presence of the State Palace and the Garuda Palace at the IKN Presidential Palace complex can support various large-scale state activities.

"We hope that later, big state activities, which need a large place, can be carried out here, at IKN," he hoped.

When asked about the quality and quality of the IKN State Palace building, Jokowi chose to speak as it is.

"In terms of quality, I have to say what it is, it's good, good. The financing is good, the painting is good, until the carving details are good, I think the quality is good," he said.
