President Jokowi Inaugurates IKN State Palace

President Joko Widodo inaugurated the Garuda Palace in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan, as an official residence facility for the President of Indonesia.

"By saying Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, this afternoon, I inaugurate the State Palace in the capital city of the archipelago," said President Jokowi when closing his speech on the agenda for the inauguration of the State Palace of IKN, reported by ANTARA, Friday, October 11.

The inauguration procession for the State Palace of IKN began with the submission of the State Palace certificate from the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono to Minister of State Secretary Pratikno.

The license certificate using number 11 has the identification number 1884 on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia with an area of 56.87 hectares.

The State Palace is located in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) of IKN, North Penajam Paser Regency, occupies the Presidential Palace complex with a site area of 334,200 square meters.

President Jokowi signed the inauguration ceremony of the IKN State Palace by signing the inscription and pressing the siren button.

Apart from the State Palace, there is also the Garuda Palace which functions as the presidential office. The Garuda Palace is located on a hill, behind the State Palace, and faces the Taman Plaza Ceremony and Bukit Flag IKN.

President Jokowi only inaugurated the State Palace because the Garuda Palace is still in the final completion stage of the building which is estimated to take about a month.

"Because the Garuda Palace is currently still in the process of being defined and it is possible that it will still take the next month, so today I will inaugurate the State Palace first and later for the Garuda Palace President Prabowo Subianto will inaugurate it," he said.
