Gibran Watches The National Peparnas Badminton Association

SOLO - Vice President-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka reviewed the matches of the XVII Solo 2024 National Paralympic Week (Peparnas) badminton in Solo, Central Java.

Gibran watched the match between athletes from Lampung M Abdullah against Central Java athlete Hariyanto in the elite class lower 3 C 5 men's singles finals round.

Gibran witnessed the match accompanied by the Chairman of the Indonesian National Paralympic Committee (NPC) Senny Marbun and the Chairman of the 2024 Solo Peparnas XVII National Committee DB Susanto.

Meanwhile, at this Peparnas, Solo City and several other districts around it hosted. The badminton match was held at the UMS Solo EduTORium.

Regarding the venue or location of the match, Venue Manager Para Badminton M Siam Priyono said that since the beginning the UMS Edurium building was designed with a multifunctional concept. Thus, people with disabilities can also make comfortable use of these facilities.

"This building has been designed to be disability-friendly, so we have filled the standards related to disability," he said.

Meanwhile, several supporting facilities for disabilities such as adequate ramp access as well as disabled bathrooms and toilets.

"In fact, we provide stands for people with disabilities," he said.

The UMS education has also received an assessment from the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing and is considered representative to hold a disability event.
