Ukrainian Military Attacks Russian Ammunition Depot In Adygeya

JAKARTA - The Ukrainian military attacked ammunition depots at airfields in Russia's Adygeya region in the North Kaupas.

The military is still recording the damage caused after the fire broke out at the facility.

About 57 Russian warplanes and training and helicopters, including Su-34, Su-35 and Mi-8, were stationed at Khanskaya airfield during the drone strike, sources at Ukraine's state security service (SBU) told Reuters on Thursday, October 10.

Russia used the airfield in Krasnodar Krai to refuel and missile and bomb attacks on Ukrainian Defense and settlement forces, the source said.

Adygeya regional head, Murat Kumpilov, said via Telegram that Rodnikovy village had been vacated due to the fire that occurred after the drone strike.

He said there were no casualties in the attack.

The Ukrainian military also said late Wednesday it attacked a base in Russia's southern Krasnodar area where Shahed's drones were stored.

The night before the plane hit a Russian arsenal in the Bryansk region bordering northern Ukraine.

Its troops rely on long-range drones to strike military targets deep within Russian territory in an effort to curb Moscow's ability to launch airstrikes more than 2.5 years after a full-scale invasion.

In recent months, Kyiv has also stepped up its push to its allies to lift restrictions on their use of weapons for long-range attacks on military targets in Russia.
