Fake Driver Arrested After Creating Horror Content On YouTube

JAKARTA - Viral a young man in a train driver uniform was arrested by a police officer after giving a horror story through his YouTube and Instagram accounts. The perpetrator was arrested not because of a scary storyline, but the man was a fake driver.

"PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) has reported the incident related to broadcasts on YouTube and Instagram accounts: a nightclub.id with the title "Masinis Kereta Digendayangi Victim Accident". The report was made at Polda Metro Jaya for a valid legal process," said Acting Manager of Public Relations of KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, Tohari when confirmed, Wednesday, October 9.

The broadcast on the account presents a resource person who is confirmed to be a fake driver. The young man in the KAI employee uniform recounted the mystical incident that seemed to have happened to him during his time as a train driver.

"KAI regrets that there are shows that can trigger negative public opinion and mislead the public. We deeply regret the podcast with this horror genre, which features a figure who seems to be a KAI employee who works as a driver," he said.

Tohari confirmed that the broadcast did not come from KAI's internal employees, and that the figure displayed was not a train driver.

"We leave it entirely to the investigation process being carried out by the Police. Currently, the broadcast has been taken down by the account concerned," he said.
