King Salman Recovers After Undergoing Lung Inflammatory Medical Tests

JAKARTA - King Salman of Saudi Arabia has recovered after undergoing a medical examination for pneumonia.

The state news agency (SPA), citing the royal palace, reported that the 88-year-old king would undergo medical tests for his pneumonia on Sunday, October 6.

The world's largest oil exporting country king and a major US ally in the Middle East also received medical treatment for pneumonia in May.

King Salman last chaired a cabinet meeting on September 24 after issuing a royal policy in August allowing the cabinet to convene without the presence of himself and the prime minister, his son Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Prince Mohammed gave assurances about the king's health at a cabinet meeting on Tuesday, October 8.
