Iran Claims To Have 10 Scenarios To Israel, Foreign Minister Araghchi: Tehran Doesn't Want War

JAKARTA - Iran's foreign minister said the country did not want war, on the other hand, wanting to stop it, as Tehran reportedly had at least 10 counter scenarios in response to Israel's response.

Sources of information said Iranian military forces had prepared at least ten scenarios to respond to the possible actions of the Zionist regime against the country.

Military sources confirmed to Tasnim, as quoted October 8, planning and regulatory units in Iran's Armed Forces have compiled at least 10 appropriate scenarios to respond to possible Zionist actions, saying one of the plans could be used when needed.

The scenario can be updated, the source said, adding that its preparations show Iran's seriousness in showing its response to hostile actions.

"Iran's response will not always be in the form of replies at the same level as Israel's actions, but may be tougher and target different targets that will intensify the effectiveness of the response," a military source said.

The sources also note that the territory occupied by Zionists is much smaller than that of Iran and Israel has "shorter and less infrastructure", so Iran's retaliation could pose an unprecedented problem in the Israeli regime.

Meanwhile, speaking on the sidelines of a conference titled "Al-Aqsa Storm; The Beginning of Nasrallah", Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas AragCHI said Iran did not want war, but was prepared with various possible scenarios related to Israel.

"Iran's policy is to support the Resistance and we will not deviate from this basic policy in any way," Foreign Minister Araghchi said, quoted by Mehr.

"If there is consultation, it is to stop the crime. We have stated many times, Iran does not want to escalate tensions, although we are not afraid of war," he continued.

"We are ready to face any scenario, the armed forces are fully ready. Our policy is to stop the war and reach an acceptable ceasefire," he explained at a conference held on Tuesday.

Iran responded to Israel's assassination of Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh, Secretary General Hezbollah Seyed Hassan Nasrollah and senior IRGC general Abbas Nilforoushan by launching 200 ballistic missiles to the military base and intelligence of the Zionist regime throughout the occupied Palestinian territories on October 1.

Israel condemned the attack and promised to retaliate. Tehran warned that any countermeasures by Israel would be responded strongly, proportionally and carefully taken into account.
