Returning Home From The Village Head's Recitation In Purbalingga Disabet Parang
JAKARTA - The Padamara Sector Police officers together with the Purbalingga Resort Police, Central Java, arrested one person with a mental disorder (ODGJ) who carried out the persecution using a sharp weapon against a village head.
"The alleged persecution with sharp weapons occurred on Saturday (5/10), at 22.00 WIB," said Purbalingga Police Chief AKBP Rosyid Hartanto, Sunday, October 6.
He said the victim experienced the incident on behalf of Jarwoto, who is the Head of Dawuhan Village, Padamara District, on his way home after attending recitation activities at Padamara Village Field.
Arriving at the Purbayasa Village-Prigi Village road, Padamara District, the victim riding a motorcycle was stopped by the perpetrator with the initials DCS (47), a resident of Purbayasa Village, Padamara District.
When the victim stopped his motorbike, the perpetrator immediately slashed the machete he was carrying towards Jarwoto's face until it hit the right cheek.
The victim, who suffered injuries to the right cheek, immediately left the scene to return to his home in Dawuhan Village, RT 01 RW 01.
Arriving at the house, the family immediately took the victim to the hospital and reported the incident to the Padamara Police.

"Based on the report, officers from the Padamara Police and Purbalingga Police came to the scene," said Head of Public Relations Iptu Setyo Hadi explaining.
According to him, officers together with residents then looked for and secured the perpetrators along with evidence in the form of sharp machetes.
Because the perpetrator is suspected of being ODGJ, he said, the officers took the person concerned to the hospital for further psychiatric examination.
"The case is already under police handling, while the perpetrator is still undergoing a psychiatric examination at the Medika Purbalingga Alert Hospital," he said.
