Attention, Tax Arrears Can't Get Fuel Subsidy Barcodes

JAKARTA - The Regional Revenue Agency of South Sulawesi Province (Bapenda Sulsel) recommends that motor vehicle tax arrears do not receive a fuel subsidy barcode.

"We have proposed a policy so that motorized vehicles that have not paid taxes cannot fill subsidized fuel," said Head of Bbapenda Sulsel Reza Faisal Saleh, ANTARA, Sunday, October 6.

He said his party would cooperate with Pertamina so that people who get subsidized fuel can also fulfill their obligations in paying their vehicle taxes.

This is one of the steps to invite people to obey taxes. This includes ensuring that vehicle owners who buy subsidized fuel have fulfilled their obligations.

Therefore, he hopes that all purchases of subsidized fuel for motorists have made tax payments or obligations as taxpayers.

Meanwhile, one of the drivers, Baharudin, said that the barcode system implemented would facilitate data collection on fuel consumption levels.

"It's just that this barcode system is still not used to being carried out by motorists, so it is considered quite difficult for motorists and causes long queues," he said.

In addition, he continued, he can also discipline vehicle tax arrears to fulfill their obligations as subject taxpayers.
