Police Thwart The Smuggling Of 85 Thousand Lobster Seeds Through Soetta Airport
TANGERANG - Police thwarted an attempt to smuggle thousands of clear lobster seeds (BBL) worth Rp. 3.5 billion to be sent to Singapore via Soekarno Hatta Airport, Tangerang City.
Deputy Chief of Police for Soekarno-Hatta Airport, AKBP Ronald FC Sipayung said the incident occurred on Thursday, October 3, at 22.00 WIB.
"We managed to thwart the plan to send and arrest one suspect with evidence of 85,129 lobster seeds," Ronald told reporters, Friday, October 4.
Disclosure began with public reports of illegal shipping activities against lobster seeds in the area in front of the Airnav Indonesia Office (Perum LPPNPI), in Karang Anyar Village, Neglasari District, Tangerang City.
On that basis, his party conducted an investigation into the location of the crime scene (TKP) by finding a Toyota Avanza car containing a suitcase and five plastic bags containing lobster clear seeds (BBL). The alleged perpetrator with the initials OP (47), a resident of Pandeglang Regency, Banten, was also secured along with evidence.
"The perpetrator has managed to deliver more than five times through," he said.

Based on the results of the examination, the alleged perpetrator admitted that he was ordered by one of the people who is a syndicate and specialist in smuggling lobster clear seeds abroad.
"The perpetrator brought clear lobster seeds packaged using suitcases from the Binuangen Malingping area, to Soekarno Hatta Airport which would be sent abroad," he said.
The evidence confiscated included one suitcase, one oxygen cylinder, one set of aerator (4 rolls of hoses and air stones), one box of styrofoam, one roll of aluminum bubble wrap, one rolling plastic wrapping, one plastic funnel, three plastic baskets, one bucket, one dipper, two plates, two clear duct tape, one black duct tape, four solders, one permanent marker, 15 plastics containing ice cubes, one sieve, one clear plastic bag bundle, three large black plastic bags, one foam media foam and one gallon.
The perpetrators were charged with Article 87 and Article 34 paragraph (1) letter a with a maximum imprisonment of 3 years and a maximum fine of IDR 3 billion.
