There Are 18 Victims Of Sexual Harassment And Sodomy At The Tangerang Orphanage

TANGERANG - The police revealed that there were 18 victims of alleged sexual abuse and sodimi at one of the orphanage foundations in Pinang, Tangerang City.

"The 18 (victims' children) are indicated," said Head of PPA Tangerang City Metro Police, AKP Rumiyati to reporters at the Tangerang City Social Service Office (Dinsos), Friday, October 4.

Rumiyati also said that 18 victims are currently placed in safe houses with different locations.

Dean Desvi, a reporter and foster parent, said that this case was from one of the female volunteers with the initials F who became a victim of harassment at the orphanage.

He also explained that the harassment incident experienced by F occurred when teachers and foster children vacationed at a villa in the Puncak area, Bogor, in May 2024.

At that time, F was forced to do indecent scenes with one of the caregivers.

"The volunteer was told to have indecent scenes. Consider a kiss, hug, what are you doing in a room," he said.

From there it was revealed that if there were dozens of boys at the foundation, they had been harassed by three caregivers.

This case has also been reported by Dean and a number of the victim's parents to the Tangerang City Metro Police, in July 2024.

The police have also named three suspects in this case, namely Sudirman, Yusuf and Yandi.

"We have reported it to the Tangerang City Metro Police since July," said Dean.
