President Jokowi Planned To Open Peparnas 2024 At Manahan Stadium

SOLO - President Joko Widodo is planned to open the XVII Solo 2024 National Paralympic Week (Peparnas) at Manahan Stadium Surakarta, Central Java, Sunday, October 6.

The Chief Executive of Peparnas 2024 DB Susanto said the invitation had been given to President Joko Widodo.

"The information we have received is that he plans to be present in person. We have also coordinated with the palace protocol," he said in Solo, Central Java, Antara, Friday, October 4.

As for the certainty of the presidential arrival, he said, it would come out in the next one day.

"We hope that he can open the 2024 Peparnas activity. His presence can give more enthusiasm, both for athletes and officials as well as the organizing committee," he said.

In addition to inviting President Joko Widodo, his party has also sent invitations to governors throughout Indonesia and a number of related ministers.

"We also invite stakeholders related to sports. Hopefully the invitees can attend the opening," he said.

His party has also distributed 9,895 tickets to the public for free through a quiz held on the official website of Peparnas XVII Solo.

At the opening ceremony of Peparnas XVII Solo 2024, the series of activities began at 15.00 WIB. In addition to the stadium, PB Peparnas XVII will also hold a festival with micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in front of Velodrome Manahan.
