Citraland Mall Not Operating After Fire

JAKARTA - Citraland Mall or Ciputra Mall Jakarta on Jalan Letjen General S. Parman RT/RW 11/01 Tanjung Duren Utara, Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta is temporarily closed today, Friday 4 October, after the fire on the 5th and 6th floors.

"For the sake of mutual security and comfort, we will temporarily close operations today," said Ciputra Jakarta Mall Public Relations Officer Rida, quoted from ANTARA, Friday, October 4.

Rida explained that his party would cooperate with the authorities to trace the cause of the fire.

"We will cooperate with the authorities in the context of investigating the cause of the fire that occurred in the early hours of Friday," said Rida.

Rida also expressed her concern over the fire accident.

"We are grateful that there were no casualties, because the safety and welfare of visitors, tenants and employees are our priority," said Rida.

A fire hit the fifth and sixth floors of Citraland Mall on Jalan Letjen General S. Parman RT/RW 11/01 Tanjung Duren Utara, Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta on Friday morning at around 00.50 WIB.

Head of the Operations Section of the West Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat), Syarifudin, said that there were no casualties in the fire.

"There were no fatalities and fatalities, but one PJLP (Other Individual Service Provider) member from the Gropet Sector fell on the escalator, but has received treatment from the local PMI (Indonesian Red Cross)," said Syarif previously.
