The Pair Rudy Mas'ud-Seno Aji Unggul In The East Kalimantan Pilkada Survey

The East West Research Center (TBRC) released the results of a survey on the electability level of two pairs of candidates for the regional head of East Kalimantan Province (Kaltim) who will compete in the 2024 East Kalimantan Pilkada. As a result, the Rudy Mas'ud-Seno Aji pair is superior to the Isran Noor-Hadi Mulyadi pair.

The Executive Director of TBRC, Johanes Romero explained, in the simulation of open questions between the two candidate pairs of governors and deputy governors if the East Kalimantan Pilkada is held today, in the top of mind of the Rudy Mas'ud -Seno Aji pair excels by being selected at 52.8 percent and the incumbent Isran Noor-Hadi Mulyadi is chosen at 34.1 percent and does not vote 13.1 percent.

"If there is no political tsunami like a candidate caught in a large case known to the majority of the public, fraud and money politics, the pair Rudy Mas'ud -Seno Aji has strong potential to win the 2024 East Kalimantan Pilkada," Johanes said in a written statement received Thursday, October 3.

Likewise in a closed question asking respondents to choose with a survey questionnaire given the name and image of the candidate pair. As a result, the Rudy Mas'ud-Seno Aji pair was superior by being selected by 59.6 percent.

"Meanwhile, the incumbent Isran Noor-Hadi Mulyadi was chosen at 34.1 percent and did not choose 6.3 percent," said Johanes.

Meanwhile, for the level of public satisfaction with the performance of Isran Noor-Hadi Mulyadi while leading East Kalimantan, the Approval Rating rate is only at 43.8 percent of respondents who are satisfied and very satisfied.

"Meanwhile, 52.4 were dissatisfied and very dissatisfied and 3.8 percent did not answer," he concluded.

This TBRC survey was conducted in the period 21-30 September 2024 through sampling based on a fixed voter population in East Kalimantan using the multistage random sampling method.

Survey respondents consist of 783 women and 797 men spread across 7 districts and 3 cities in East Kalimantan Province proportionally.

Meanwhile, the margin of error is approximately 2.46 percent with a confidence level of 95 percent.
